If you’ve been partaking in this month’s Bavarian Brewfest at participating Bavarian Bier Cafés in Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, as well as Munich Brauhaus in Sydney and Melbourne, you’ll be happy to know that the month of welcoming a range of new craft and seasonal beers isn’t quite over just yet, and there are a few more events to round out the event:
Friday, 22nd April: Hofbrau Original Party
If you thought craft beer was a recent creation, you’d be dead wrong. Hofbrau Original (aka the Beer of Bavarian Kings) will be celebrating its 500th anniversary this weekend, with an epic party on Friday 22nd April to mark the 5-century anniversary of the Bavarian Purity law on Saturday, 23rd April.
Friday, 29th April: Devil’s Daughters Double IPA Release Party
This drop’s description sounds more like some mythical ale from a Game of Thrones type world, “Golden amber in colour, boasts big aroma while keeping the bitterness in balance”. But if you’re willing to give it a try, the first 200 people to arrive at participating Bavarian Bier Cafés in Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast or Munich Brauhaus in Sydney and Melbourne will receive an exclusive collector’s glass to honour the new beer. Devil’s Daughters Double IPA joins other craft beers like the Blonde Moment, Munich Lager, Butcher’s Bride Pale Ale and Hop Dock.
Don’t forget to tag your photos at any of the events with @bavarianbiercafe and #bavarianbrewfest or @munichbrauhaus and #munichbrewfest. If you were at any of the previous April events and have been tagging happily, you may be in the running to win an exclusive surfboard at the final release party!
