If you’ve visited Broadway Shopping Centre in Ultimo within the past week you may have noticed quite a few changes going on. The historic retail and dining hub has just completed a $55 million redevelopment to it’s second and third levels, an overdue refresh that has brought in new brands such as H&M, Sunglass Hut, and Sephora, as well as a whole heap of new food options.
These casual eating options in particular sweep the slate clean for a food court that has been lacking in inspiration for quite some time when compared to similar properties around the city. Now it looks like a completely new, and exciting, mix of on-trend food retailers including Zeus Greek Street Din Tai Fung My Donut Box, Gelato Heaven, Passiontree Velvet, Cha Time, and Grill’d Healthy Burgers. The 3,4000 square metre expansion should bring Broadway shops up to speed with the wider redevelopments which are currently changing the face of Sydney from places like Rozelle to Circular Quay, and beyond.
There’s now over 30 in-demand retailers, some commissioned public artworks by five Sydney based artists and designers, and a completely new atmosphere to take Broadway Sydney. “This is an exciting step forward for Broadway Sydney as we continue with the centre’s transformation into an unrivaled lifestyle precinct for Sydneysiders”, said Mirvac’s Senior Development Manager for Retail Christina Nelson.
