Bundaberg’s award-winning rum festival is returning this October (QLD)

The awarded Spirit of Bundaberg Festival is set on a triumphant October return this year after meeting with huge success in 2016. Once again filling the grounds of the legendary Bundaberg Rum Distillery, the festival will stretch a program of food, rum and music across Saturday 14th October, aiming the top last year’s program which attracted more than 7000 attendees.

Of course the beating heart of the festival will be stitched together by 20 rum-inspired food stalls and the opportunity to be among the first to try Bundaberg’s latest release: Bundaberg Rum Small Batch Silver Reserve. The food stalls are busy putting together a menu, but so far they’ve confirmed menu items like pulled pork rolls with Kakadu plum and rum sauce, BBQ rum sauce pork ribs, onion rings with rum dipping sauce, and Bundaberg Royal Liqueur gelato.

“The Spirit of Bundaberg Festival is our way of thanking the community for their continued support”, said Duncan Littler, Senior Brand Manager for Bundaberg Rum. “We’ve added quite a few awards to our trophy cabinet since our last festival, particularly with Bundaberg Solera winning the World’s Best Dark Rum and the festival winning Best Distillery Event in the World, so there’s lots to celebrate”.

Perhaps most importantly is the distillery itself, which will be opening up their on-site store during the festival, offering punters to chance to add to their collections with exclusive rums only found at the cellar door. This is of course including the high-demand Bundaberg Rum Solera.
