Butter are pimping their fried chicken meals with nutella fries this month (Sydney)

It was only a matter of time before these two sneaker destinations linked up. Beloved sneaker gallery Subtype have partnered with the team behind sneaker-and-chicken shop Butter on a limited edition fashion tip, resulting in not only a collaborative tee and sock capsule but a special fried chicken promotion that’s being run at Butter for the rest of May.

Hinged on the slogan “Not For General Consumption”, the against-the-grain ideology that has inspired this collaboration has also given rise to another subversive little detail, that of which is the ungodly creation of loaded fries topped with nutella and crushed hazelnuts. To add to that, the team at Butter are also offering some seaweed edamame in place of their regular slaw with any of their fried chicken meals. All you need to upgrade your slaw to seaweed edameme, or your fries to nutella fries, is to repeat the aforementioned slogan upon ordering any fried chicken meals.

The Subtype x Butter collaboration range will be available at Subtype instore and online, as well as the Butter website. T-shirts will be sold for $69.95 each and socks for $24.95 a pair. The slaw and fries upgrade is from now until the end of May.
