As part of their 25th anniversary collaboration series, long-standing Australian brand Byron Bay Cookie Company has tapped celebrated Chef Christine Manfield to launch a new, playful flavour that is sure to fly straight off the shelves. Manfield has whipped up the Salted Caramel Popcorn Cookie to add to the brand’s range, debuting it at David Jones stores in June, marking the second flavour she has created for the brand, following the popular Passionfruit & Dark Chocolate cookie which was released in December of last year.
“I am very particular about the type of ingredients used, all carefully selected to ensure the best quality and flavour possible,” said Manfield, who took a very hands-on approach when she visited the factory in Byron Bay, creating the recipe and trialing different flavour combinations.
The Salted Caramel Popcorn Cookie mixes in salted caramel coated popcorn with crunchy butter croquant pieces, balancing the rich salted caramel flavour with milky chocolate, no doubt continuing the company’s legacy of being one of the more experimental and playful on the market.
After the Salted Caramel Popcorn Cookie flavour launches in David Jones this June, Manfield will return to the factory to develop a third flavour for the brand, to be released later this year. For more information about the flavour and Byron Bay Cookie Company head to their official website HERE
