Before the year is done and dusted, iconic luxury lifestyle brand Club Med will open its very first Canadian property, no doubt adding the country’s already solid portfolio of grand, enchanting ski resorts. Named Québec Charlevoix, positioned in the north of Québec, the new Club Med resort will soak up the area’s regional wonders and express them through the distinctive luxe and highly energetic Club Med style.
With pristine waterfront views over St Lawrence river, the mountain resort will shape much of its identity around the ski-in, ski-out style of accommodation Canada is known for, making the most of the exceptional Charlevoix region with Club Med’s renowned all-inclusive approach.
Booking into the resort includes ski classes of all levels, tailored après ski activities, snowshoe and Nordic walking, ice-skating, indoor pool access, fitness classes, cardio and weight room access, yoga, meditation, dogsledding, snowmobiling, ice-fishing, and ice-canoeing. Gourmands will also find a lot to enjoy with some of the area’s finest culinary specialities being showcased through the resort, from local cheeses and cold cuts, to microbrewery ciders and maple products.
Club Med has always been a bastion of holistic travel experiences, so watching them frame the unique mountain resort with their signatures will be a massive draw for this majestic part of Canada. It’s even more attractive when you consider the Nordic inspiration behind much of the resort’s wellness features, which includes spas, a sauna with a panoramic view, and a terrace with both warm and cold baths.
Hospitality will be a big part of the resort, with not just a signature restaurant, but an entire precinct with another specialty restaurant, lounge bar, wine cellar, and gourmet market.
In terms of rooms, there’s 302 in total across 3 different categories. Each has been designed after the beauty of the region, but if you want the pinnacle experience you’d need to go for the Exclusive Collection Space – dubbed Le Saint-Laurent – which is made of 25 suites at the top of the resort with their own exclusive amenities and premium services.
