Contiki are bringing a multisensory Southern Indian experience to Sydney this week

Popping up in the Sydney suburb of Chippendale for one week only will be a digital presentation by youth tour company Contiki, promising guests 45 minutes of absolute bliss as they escape into an immersive multisensory experience of Southern India spanning sight, sound and taste. Fashioned as an “escape room”, anyone who enters will be treated to the ultimate in relaxation, from a virtual boat trip to a traditional Ayurvedic massage and local cuisine.

Though they’ve kept details a secret, Contiki welcome guests to “take a mini sojourn to where the spices grow and the palm trees sway under the warm rays of India’s southern sun”, where they will float down Kerala backwaters (we assume through a video installation) before receiving said massage, dining on said local cuisine, and finishing up immersive “in a lush Southern Indian coffee jungle”. All of this will be spread across four different rooms.

“It won’t be like anything you imagine”, says a press release, which indicates the experience will cost $10 per person, with all proceeds donated to local Southern Indian charities. Contiki’s Southern Indian experience will run from Wednesday 15th to Sunday 19th November; registration for session time and more information is available HERE

Note that the experience will only be open to four guests at a time, with session times available between 10:45am and 8pm each day.
