Sydney’s five-star Sheraton on the Park has refocused The Gallery, their modern dining option that now draws inspiration from the leafy surrounds of Hyde Park to acknowledge the property’s central location. A dramatic three-dimensional artwork adds a bit of theatre of the dining space, featuring roots of trees and sprawling branches that overlook diners, marking a major refurbishment for the awarded hotel and one which comes with a series of refreshed dining options, including a weekend afternoon tea buffet.
High Tea is a big focus for The Gallery, which uses fresh, seasonal produce to design their “Tea Tree at The Gallery” offering: a theatrical high tea complemented by symbolic elements to again bring the theme of nature to the space. Handmade sweets and homemade sandwiches are featured on a tree shaped stand to replace the standard high tea tiers for example.
Smart new contemporary furnishings complete the new look of The Gallery in an attempt to further shape the atmosphere after the elegance most people expect when booking in a high tea experience. Of course, regular dining options are also available from The Gallery, with the space proving to be a popular option for breezy light meals away from the hustle of the property’s CBD location.
