Gelato Messina launches home delivery service for Sydney and Melbourne

The team behind home delivery service Suppertime have distinguished themselves by curating quite the impressive list of local eateries for customers to choose from, including Sydney favourites like Pub Life Kitchen and Sugarcane. Now the service have added a pretty big name to their list, teaming up with dessert giant Gelato Messina to bring their highly sought-after products to doors around Sydney and Melbourne. No more waiting for Uber to announce their next Messina delivery run.

Announced today, the partnership will begin with four Sydney Messina stores, serving the immediate areas around Surry Hills, Darlinghurst, Bondi, and The Star (Pyrmont). Following this, in a couple of weeks, Suppertime Melbourne will follow suit with services for Fitzroy, Richmond, and Windsor.

“We’ve always wanted to offer delivery to our customers, especially those lazy ones who won’t get off the couch, but haven’t been set up for it in the past or had the right partner,” said Gelato Messina co-owner Declan Lee when speaking to Daily Telegraph, ““I think we’ve been engaged in delivery foreplay for about two to three years. It feels like we’re about to give birth to a big ice cream baby”.

About 40 different flavours will be available to choose from, in addition to Messina’s mouth-watering range of gelato cakes, including the legendary Dr Evil’s Magic Mushroom (dulce de leche, peanut cookies, vanilla cream, chocolate sponge, red ganache, and white chocolate buttons) and Bombe Alaska (raspberry sorbetwith chocolate fondant gelato, flourless chocolate sponge, and Italian meringue).

Tubs of gelato await. Head to Suppertime to order.
