GoEuro – an online service which helps you book flights, buses and trains within Europe – has unveiled a handy new European Summer Festival guide that might help you plan some excellent musical experiences over the coming months.
The comprehensive guide breaks down just about every festival happening in Europe across Summer 2016 into a number of categories. They rate the top 10 EDM festivals, including everything from Secret Garden in the UK to Tomorrowland in Belgium, the ten best cheap festivals, the ten biggest festivals, ten best rock festivals and more. By the time we write this, some of the festivals have already happened, but the bulk are yet to take place. The top ten tools prove a great way to discover new festivals.
Or, for those who want to do their own curating, you can go through every festival in their database alphabetically – or by location, cost, capacity or duration. Clicking on the festival will also tell you a bit more about the event, let you know if there’s camping, if there’s wi-fi, if it’s outdoors or indoors, if it’s family friendly and more.
We all know the biggest festivals in Europe, but this is a great way to discover something new. The only thing we’d recommend is that you double check dates and details on the festival’s website, which this list gives you easy access to. We noticed a couple of events had incorrect dates (such as Primavera Sound, which commenced June 1st, but is listed here as commencing on May 1st), and some of the events on the list have already sold out. So make sure to check those sorts of details before you make any plans.
You can check out the list for yourself HERE.
