Adding to their ever-expanding presence across the country, putt-putt party bar Holey Moley Golf Club will be opening their newest location under Sydney’s iconic Coca-Cola sign in Kings Cross. Set to launch on 10th May with what is being described as a “Gatsby-style” grand opening, the rapidly growing chain of venues will bring a two-storey iteration to the Cross, spanning 27 holes, three bars and a full kitchen to handle a new range of burgers, bar snacks and loaded fries.
Owners Funlab will be making this new venue their biggest one to date, really pushing it as a nightlife venue with live DJs alongside the usual and a few new pop culture referencing holes. One of the nine-hole courses will be shaped into what used to be the popular Piano Room, with apparent care taken to keep the former features in-tact to further ground this new Holey Moley in Kings Cross and give a platform for the venue’s 1920s-leaning theme.
“For this new location, the aim was to go above and beyond, giving swing-savvy golfers a chance to work on their game and fun-seekers a place to hang their hats and let their hair down for the night”, explained Funlab CEO Michael Schreiber. “The thought process behind the 1920s theme was to embrace the night owl, free-spirited abandon of the era and give our customers an immersive, luxurious location”.
