Situated just a short walk from the iconic Potato Head Beach Club, Villa Ananya puts you right in the centre of Seminyak’s nightlife, dining, and shopping scene. Its prime location also places you close to the stunning Petitenget and Batu Belig beaches. So, whether you want to enjoy a day at the beach or dive into the buzzing nightlife, everything you could want is just a quick walk or ride away.
The villa itself has four bedrooms and the capacity to host up to eight guests! I loved the huge entrance door and the open layout of the kitchen/living area. But the outdoor bedroom was the absolute standout for me. Not only was it incredibly spacious, but you could literally step straight from this bedroom into the pool, making it feel like your own private oasis.
Upstairs, another large bedroom provided a similarly impressive space to unwind. The two remaining bedrooms, while smaller, were cosy and comfortable, and all four bedrooms came with their own ensuite bathroom – an excellent setup for groups of friends or couples travelling together.
The layout of the villa revolves around the central pool, which creates a wonderful communal atmosphere. You can open all the doors and walk freely between the living, yard, and pool areas. Breakfast was cooked fresh each morning by the staff in the villa kitchen, with dietaries taken into consideration. Starting the day with a beautiful breakfast and fresh Balinese coffee at the dining table was definitely one of the highlights of my stay.
However, my experience wasn’t without its challenges.
During my visit, construction was happening next door, which meant constant building noise that detracted from the villa’s overall tranquillity. Additionally, maintenance activities inside the villa saw people coming and going throughout the day, which reduced the sense of privacy I typically enjoy during a stay. While these disruptions didn’t overshadow the positives of the villa, they’re worth noting for travellers seeking complete peace and quiet.
That said, the villa’s proximity to everything Seminyak has to offer is its biggest strength. Cafes, spas, shops, and nightlife are all within easy reach, making it an incredibly convenient base. While it didn’t provide the serene escape I usually look for – it would be the perfect choice for people looking to enjoy Bali’s livelier side.
