Huxtaburger opens in Footscray (Melbourne)

Melbourne’s unstoppable Huxtaburger has finally made it’s way out to Footscray, with a new restaurant opening to locals this past weekend. The famed burger joint, which has locations all over the city, will be doing much of what made the brand such a juggernaut on the scene in the first place. The menu will be the same, although the design will be slightly skewed with Studio Y putting together a skate-inspired décor that includes an upside-down skate bowl on the ceiling, skate rails for lights, and a half pipe for the main seating area.

“The Footscray store marks the first of many, where Huxtaburger will incorporate ‘hyper-local’ elements within its restaurants to embody its local environment”, explained CEO of Huxtaburger Matt Fickling. “The Huxtalife isn’t about the cookie cutter approach, so we’re excited to see the brand refresh and a new direction of Huxtaburger to come to life”.

No word yet on whether Huxtaburger plans to expand inter-state, but hey at least Footscray’s already bustling casual eats scene has a worthy new choice.
