Kenny Loggins set to headline the Second Annual Great Waikiki Beer Festival in Hawaii

Following a successful inaugural event in 2015, the Great Waikiki Beer Festival is set to return to the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort’s Great Lawn later this month, and legendary musician Kenny Loggins has just been announced to perform.

The event, which will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, benefits Hawai’i’s Wounded Warriors and will showcase a selection of more than 100 beers from Hawaii and mainland USA. Admission prices will include 10 four-ounce samples, with additional samples available for purchase alongside finely paired food. This is set to include bratwurst on hoagie buns, kiawe-smoked brisket sandwiches on sweet bread buns and more.

The roster of breweries ranges from local microbreweries like Honolulu Beerworks, Waikiki Brewing Company, Kona Brewing Company and Maui Brewing Company, to mainland breweries like San Diego’s Iron Fist Brewery, Chicago’s Goose Island and Rogue out of Newport, Ore. Also on the lineup will be samplings of more than 25 premium wines.

And if the beer, wine and food isn’t enough to take your fancy, the Beer Festival will also feature legendary artist Kenny Loggins – known for chart-topping hits like “Danny’s Song”, “Footloose” and “Danger Zone”. Also taking the stage will be HAPA, alongside other local artists.

“We’re very excited to have Kenny Loggins on our lineup this year and also to once again support Hawaii’s Wounded Warriors with this year’s beer festival,” said Jeffrey Yedlin, director of food & beverage, Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. “And with the local brewery scene growing, this year’s event will feature some newcomers, as well as some favorites from last year.”

A portion of the proceeds from the Great Waikiki Beer Festival will benefit the Wounded Warrior Ohana, a local non-profit dedicated to caring for our nation’s injured military service members by providing fun, safe and healthy events for these wounded warriors and their families.

VIP Tickets are $100 ($85 for VIP Military Admission with valid I.D.) and include 10 four-ounce beer or wine tastings, two food tickets, parking for one car and early entry at 5pm. General Admission tickets are $69.50 ($59 for Military General Admission with valid I.D.) and include 10 four-ounce beer or wine tastings, food available for purchase and specially-priced validated parking. Additional beer or wine samples are $2 each, and food is available for purchase separately.
