Melbourne’s 400 Gradi has introduced a pizza with 150 different types of cheeses

Just a few months after being named the best pizza in Oceania and one of the top 50 pizzerias in the world, 400 Gradi will be adding a not-so-modest achievement to their already world-class reputation. For National Cheese Pizza Day (Sep 5th), owner and chef Johnnie Di Francesco will now attempt to best an ambitious goal he first kicked off back in 2014, which pizza enthusiasts will recognise as the year the Melbourne-based pizzaiolo hooked up with Paramount Pictures to create a 99-cheese pizza as a nod to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

That’s right, he’s going to somehow now only top that figure but also reclaim the world record which currently sits at 111 cheeses. For this special, and obviously limited edition, pizza Di Francesco will be present a pizza that features no more than 150 different types of cheese, slapping it exclusively onto the menus of all 400 Gradi restaurants across Melbourne from Wednesday 5th through to Sunday 9th.

You’re going to want to queue up early for this one. After the 99 cheese pizza first emerged back in 2014, it was so well received that it even inspired a Change.org petition, trying to pressure Johnny to add it Gradi menus as a permanent option.

And we’ve got the full list of the cheeses that will appear on the pizza. Note that The AU Review were sent this list as is, so some are strangely in ALL CAPS like Kanye tweets, while others are not. There’s one hundred and fifty of them, and we could go through and re-type them, but hey, it’s a ridiculously long list. Plus, since Buzzfeed and it’s many clones have lowered the standard of writing on the internet for years now, we’re hoping you won’t hold it against us. Here goes:
