The rip-roaring success of Burgapalooza, the returning burger festival which wrapped up it’s two-day gourmet outing in Parramatta this past weekend, ain’t over. Festival sponsors Menulog have rounded up the best event-exclusives from the weekend and is offering them up as limited edition delivery-only items, available to Sydney burger fiends from now up until Sunday 30th September.
Let’s face it. We didn’t get to try everything at Burgapalooza – and those who did are probably no longer with us – so this is a very valuable opportunity. Five of the burgers specially created for the festival will be available, including both Down N’ Out’s “Old Bae” (fried chicken, Swiss cheese, jalapeno pepper mayo, pickles and lettuce on a toasted bun), and vegetarian-friendly “Tofu Bae” (same, but instead of chicken you get fried tofu) from either the Top Ryde and Sydney CBD joints.
Also on the menu is Superior Burger fanging out their “Simple Pleasures” burger (dry-aged beef, bacon butter, cheese and “sexy sauce” on a malted buttermilk bun) from their Wakeley store; Ume offering up their special “Ume Cheeseburger” (beef patty, smokehouse bacon, American cheese, rice-vinegar pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion and ‘special sauce’) from their Barangaroo and Surry Hills stores; and finally Soul Burger doing up their “Vegan Steven” (sriracha aioli, pickles, vegan cheese, vegan beast patty, veggie slaw, tomato relish) for delivery from their four venues (Glebe, Parra, Randwick, Newtown).
To order just head to Menulog and jump on the respective burger joint near you.
