Nathan Sasi’s artisanal ice creamery, “Good Times”, opens in Potts Point (Sydney)

Ex-Nomad, future-Mercado Chef Nathan Sasi now has his very own ice creamery, Good Times, a joint venture with wife Sali which, for it’s first week (now unfortunately over), had it’s entire menu curated by culinary goddess Christine Manfield. Now in it’s second week Good Times’ official menu will launch on Tuesday 1st March, ready to show Sydney just what Sasi and Sali have been waiting to unleash upon the city’s most discerning dessert lovers.

The pint-sized parlour is a bright, vibrant addition to Potts Point, serving up restaurant-quality soft serves without the use of any powders or additives, with the kitchen committed to natural, seasonal ingredients. Already, the venue has pumped out Mardi Gras-themed desserts and chocolate-ribboned ice cream sandwiches with salted-caramel centres, all of which have been well-received by the public. There’s even been some gloriously creative items like the Smashing Pumpkin, a salted-caramel ice cream with sweet pumpkin, salted peanut praline, candied bacon, and caramel praline. Every topping is made daily and in-house. Rumoured to be on the official menu are Brioche Jaffles stuffed with ice cream, DIY Soft Serve, and vintage ice cream tubs.

It’s anyone’s guess how this ice creamery will continue to evolve over the coming weeks, but with Sasi’s reputation and the Good Times concept we have a feeling that this may prove to be one of the most valuable new openings in Sydney so far this year.
