Nike will be highlighting the benefits of a lifestyle shoe that uses 100% Air technology when they launch the new Air Max 270 in Australia on the 1st of February. The latest innovation of Nike’s iconic Air Max series, the 270’s will be adapting a big part of their running shoes to their lifestyle brand, offering a modern and fashionable sneaker with the initial silhouette inspired by classic Nike designs such as the Air Max 93 and the Air Max 180.
With a variety of silhouettes planned to roll out through the year, the Air Max 270 should remain one of Nike’s biggest releases of 2018, blending the style of a sportswear shoe with the rigorous support of a performance shoe. Key features include newly-engineered zoned mesh upper for enhanced flex and breathability, as well as a molded dual-density foam designed for a smooth transition from heel to forefoot, and an elevated sole for increased heel volume displacement and superior air cushion comfort and support. Great impact absorption is also a key feature of the 270’s, which have already been adopted by sporting stars such as Kevin Durant.
The shoe’s elevated heel is the tallest Nike have ever designed, measuring in at 32mm which should make a substantial difference in distinguishing them from their running counterparts in terms of cushion and support.
