NSW's Former Chief Funster Andrew Smith Reveals his 5 Favourite NSW Experiences

From December to June of the past year, Andrew Smith was appointed Destination NSW’s “Chief Funster”, and travelled all around NSW to see the best of what our country had to offer. Among this time, he went to Tamworth, joined the AU on a weekend in Newcastle and much more.

Now back in the real world (though promising he’ll be returning to Australia sooner rather than later), we caught up with Andrew to find out his top 5 experiences of his 6 month stint in NSW as “Chief Funster”:

Breakfast

Easily the best meal in Australia. Enjoyed Robo Cog and Reuben Hills a lot in Surry Hills. (Here’s a Benedict enjoyed in Newcastle).

Canyoning Empress Falls, Blue Mountains

Had an amazing time Canyoning the Empress Falls in the Blue Mountains with the Blue Mountains Adventure Company (Photo provided by www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au)

Bushwalking Royal National Park

Heading around this beautiful location with a camera from sunset until dawn is something I won’t soon forget (See more at udu.com.au, photo taken from their website.)

Vivid

One of the best Festivals I’ve ever attended. (Photo provided by Vivid).

Thundaraft Port Stephens

Freaking terrifying boat ride… super fun! (Find out more at: http://portstephenswatersports.com.au/)
