The great Stefano Manfredi has seen his popular restaurant The Star, Osteria Balla Manfredi, become one of the top Italian restaurants in Sydney, largely in part to a constant desire for growth and a dedication to produce. As 2015 comes to a close, Balla is taking a new angle for it’s lunch offerings, introducing an organic lunch menu that offers the restaurant’s modern interpretation of traditional Italian cuisine with an appreciation for the finest organic produce Manfredi could source.
Head Chef Gabriele Taddeucci has designed the menu to embrace fresh and lighter flavours that don’t usually appear on Balla’s regular menu, including a Buckwheat Tagliatelle with organic broccoli and dried ricotta. He has also featured smaller dishes such as Organic Pacific Oysters ($25) served natural with lemon granita, pastas like Kamut Maccheroncini ($25) with organic broccoli and dried ricotta, and mains such as Wood-Grilled Organic Saltbush Lamb Shoulder ($32) with roasted beetroot.
Balla is open from Monday to Friday for lunch, from 12:30pm to 2pm. The Organic Chef’s Choice Menu will be available alongside the regular lunch offering as well as the restaurant’s “Fancy a Quickie” promotion.
