Those who are looking for quality produce ahead of Christmas should keep this one in mind. Carriageworks are bringing back their annual free-entry Christmas Farmers Market on 23rd December, rounding up over 115 producers and providores for an enormous market kicking off at 8am and wrapping up at 1pm. Focused on food and produce, the market will be an excellent opportunity for Sydneysiders to buy fresh seasonal produce and food-related gifts from the best in the business, all of whom will make for a vibrant market featuring hams, lambs, seafood, fresh fruit and veggies, cheese, and Christmas puddings.
“Summer at Carriageworks Farmers Market is one of my favourite times of the year, bursting with incredible produce to share with friends and family during the festive season,” said Creative Director and renowned chef Mike McEarney. “[It is] only two days before Christmas so it’s the perfect time to buy your produce directly from the producer at its freshest, and why not top with last minute gifts”.
In addition to all that produce and all those gifts, there will be a bunch of stalls set-up from some of the state’s finest food and drink vendors, offering to take good care of all the tired shoppers. Billy Kwong is on board, as is Bar Pho, Moobi Valley Farm, Agape Organic, Bibim Bowl, 2 Smoking Barrels and a few more yet to be announced. There’ll even be a few wine and spirit producers selling some of their finest drops, from Eloquesta Wines and Slow Wine Co to Vale Creek Wines and Archie Rose Distilling Co.
