Unique boutique hotel Ovolo Woolloomooloo unveiled a series of new event spaces recently, finalising the $20 million renovation of one of the city’s most iconic, heritage-listed spaces which is located right on that iconic wharf that most people know the area for.
The new event space takes full advantage of the previous hotel’s lobby and reception area, transforming it into a high-end, adaptable area that caters for events from 12 to 350 people. In addition, there are 11 spaces that have been created as part of the development, ranging from the Darlo and The Piper Room (headline image), to the Kitchen Table and the Lo Lounge, all of which have been designed with different uses and aesthetics in mind. Each space comes with state-of-the-art AV equipment, Wi-Fi, and stationery as part of the booking package currently being offered by the property.
Exposed wood beams and floorings were restored as part of the design aesthetic molded to suit both modernity and the waterfront property’s history, as well as metallic light pendants, bold furniture pieces and pastel murals on movable wall panels (designed exclusively for the property) to mesh with Ovolo Woolloomooloo overall atmosphere.
