Those needing to introduce some character to their sleepwear should head on over to the nearest Peter Alexander as soon as possible. The sleepwear designer brand has announced a surprising collaboration capsule with Cartoon Network to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Powerpuff Girls.
The classic cartoon, which has been around since 1998, will be rolling out new episodes and products throughout the year, kicking off with this fashion statement celebrating the show’s embedded sense of girlpower. The capsule features ten different expressions, all of which are now part of Peter Alexander’s Wanna Play collection and features both women and girls’ styles.
“We are so excited to be working with Peter Alexander to highlight the enduring legacy of the show and the girlpower it embodies”, said General Manager of Turner Australia Robi Stanton. “This colour pop-culture collection highlights both the incredible bong between sisters, and just like The Powerpuff Girls, the PJ’s are completely super-cute and super-fierce”.
The collaboration has also come around to build anticipation for the recently announced Cartoon Network Wave: the first ever Cartoon Network-branded cruise liner, which will making its maiden voyage to Australia soon after it launches later this year.
The full sleepwear range includes a “Save the World” long sleeve tee (AU $69.95), a “Girl Power” sleep tee (AU $79.95), The Powerpuff Girls lounge pants (AU $79.95), and more. The full Wanna Play collection can be found HERE.
