There’ll be plenty to do around Sydney across the forthcoming October long weekend, but one of the standouts for those who prefer seafood feasts, live jazz and sparkling harbour views will be this lush event thrown by Ripples Chowder Bay as part of their 10th anniversary celebrations. The highly regarded seafood restaurant is promising an afternoon of live jazz and specially curated sharing feasts, dubbed Sounds by the Sea, as they tap highly respected saxophonist and DJ Paul Chenard to provide some tunes and Head Chef Kristian Gamble to take care of the food.
To make it a full experience, tickets to the event will include transportation to and from the venue by luxury boat, with pickup location available in the CBD and the North Shore.
As for what kind of food to expect. Gamble has put together quite the tempting list of fresh seafood dishes, including cured ocean trout with cucumber, black sesame and chilli; squid ink fettuccine served with calamari, capsicum and parsley; and freshly shucked Sydney Rock Oysters with shallots and lemon.
Tickets to the event can be purchased from the Ripples Chowder Bay website (listed below) and are priced at $125 per person. Sittings are available for 11am or 2pm on Saturday 30th September
