Royal Stacks brings halal certified burgers and frozen custard to Brunswick (Melbourne)

Royal Stacks has quickly shot up to near the top of the list when people talk about the best burgers in Melbourne. Their CBD location on Collins Street has become so wildly popular that a quick expansion was a no-brainer, bringing the brand to Sydney Road in Brunswick with a few small adjustments to the signature menu, including halal options to meet demand. Often compared to legendary U.S chain Shake Shack, Royal Stacks are tightening their grip on the local burger scene with this expansion, blending up classic American-inspired fare with shades of Middle Eastern flare.

With patties minced fresh daily from pasture-fed, 100% Australian, GMO-free, and halal certified beef sourced from Vic’s Meats, Royal Stacks has been making a huge impact on the local scene in Brunswick, presenting customers with fresh, juicy burgers completely free from antibiotics and hormones, at all stages of production. It’s one of Melbourne’s few restaurants in the area to cater for halal customers, created as a response to demand for halal options noticed by owner Dani Zeini, who is well-known from his involvement with Dandenong Pavilion, Grand Trailer Park Taverna, and Werribee’s Truck Stop Deluxe.

To further differentiate from the CBD store, Royal Stacks Brunswick offer a few exclusive frozen custard flavours, including Rosewater & Pistachio and Baklava & Kanafah (which is a Levantine cheese pastry soaked in sweet, sugar-based syrup), all designed by Mark Mariotti of St Kila’s popular 7 Apples.

Many of the burgers on offer mirror the most popular menu items at the CBD store, with a few simple name changes. On the menu is the Double Stack with two patties, the Prince Harry with horseradish, shallot, and gherkin mayo, and the ever-popular The King, which is loaded with their much talked about Mac’n’Cheese croquettes.
