Subida is Woollahra’s new Spanish pintxos and tapas bar (Sydney)

Subida, a Pintxos & Tapas Bar has taken over level one of Woollahra’s The Light Brigade. The contemporary Spanish restaurant is all about serving food that reflects Spain’s culture, style and delicious flavours, with the menu crafted with the inspiration from Head Chef Justin Schott‘s travels around destinations like San Sebastian, Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia.

“I love the style of eating, how casual it is, how easy it is, how clean the flavours are, and how delicious everything is,” said Schott. “At Subida we want to bring all these experiences to life for our guests. We want to create memories of Spain and present them in our own contemporary way.”

With a focus on Spanish Pintxos and tapas, the menu features dishes that are are a modern spin on the classic Spanish snacks, as well as featuring  Spanish El Postre (sweets), and an impressive list of Spanish and Australian wines.

The interiors of Subida hales from a design program developed by China Heights Gallery in Surry Hills. Spanish eatery has transformed into a sleek Art Deco vision, with bold colours, patterns and shapes covering the walls and art murals created by Sydney artists Nadia Hernandez and Brett Chan.
