Sydney’s first stoner food cafe opens in Newtown at 4:20pm today, and the menu is ridiculous

Hey, you, the guy with half-closed eyes and a cheesy grin. Hungry? Want some deep-fried ravioli nachos? How about some chocolate, pretzel, and sour worm ice cream? You’re in luck because Sydney’s first ever stoner-inspired cafe is opening up today (Wednesday 6th April) at the very appropriate time of 4:20pm. D’Munchies is a new venture from co-owner and Chef David Pyne who has put together one of the most gloriously ludicrous menus the city has ever seen, dedicated to food that would make any glassy-eyed Stoner Sloth proud.

Those heading along to the new cafe will be greeted with a two-metre-tall mural of marijuana designed by local illustrator Sindy Sinn, colouring your session of proscuitto and brie burgers, pepperoni pizza hot dogs, and three-cheese chilli dogs (a vegan option).

From today to Friday, D’Munchies will be open from 4:20pm to 10pm. Thereafter opening hours will be 12pm to 10pm. It will be located at 170 King Street, Newtown, where La Mia Pasta used to be.

For absolutely no information but a map showing the location you can head to their official website HERE, which they’ll probably update soon enough. Their Facebook page can be found HERE.
