The Adnate: First Art Series Hotel dedicated to street art opens in Perth

Australia’s celebrated Art Series Hotel brand has officially graduated to 9 properties with the opening of Perth’s The Adnate. Standing adjacent to the city’s luxury and lifestyle destination of King Street, the colourful 250-room property promises a vibe big on soul and ‘the art of dreaming big’.

An homage to big wall street artist Matt Adnate, the hotel’s exterior is designed by one of the world’s largest ‘mega murals’, which spans 25 of the hotel’s 27 storeys and is the largest Adnate has ever painted. Needless to say, it’s now the tallest mural in the Southern Hemisphere, featuring three large-scale portraits including the face of a Noongar man, an Indian woman, and a Mediterranean woman all created with spray paint to highlight Perth’s cultural history and community. Completing the work took Matt only one month.

It being an Art Series, there’s the expected collection from Adnate in each room and around every corner of the hotel, which includes two original canvases in the lobby and a large-scale mural above the hotel’s main staircase to welcome guests, starting them on a journey that takes them through giclée prints of 30 of the artist’s most-recognised. Given this is the first Art Series hotel dedicated to street art, there’s even a spectacular 50-metre laneway mural adjacent to the $90 million property.

A centrepiece outdoor heated pool will serve as the hotel’s social heart, alongside its Miami-styled Hyde Perth Kitchen + Cocktails restaurant opening later this month. Other amenities include a gym, and all the Art Series staples like art tours, in-room art channels, art libraries, and branded courtesy cars or Lekker bicycles to help guests explore Perth’s ever-changing culture.

“Our collection of Art Series hotels transcends the traditional hotel experience by masterfully uniting Australia’s contemporary art culture with a boutique hospitality experience,” said Accor Chief Operating Officer Pacific, Simon McGrath. “The Adnate is a seamless combination of art, design and functionality. It’s a powerful representation of contemporary creativity, with connected and inspiring spaces for guests to discover. We’re so excited to share this stunning property with guests visiting Perth from other parts of Western Australia, interstate and overseas.”

It’s also extremely important to note that Art Series have the best beds in the business and I wish I was sleeping on one right now.

To celebrate the opening of The Adnate, Art Series has released an opening special, which is from AU$179 per night. To book, visit artserieshotels.com.au/adnate
