Since it opened earlier this year, The Grounds of the City has quickly established itself as one of the go-to spots for communal dining in the CBD. Though a 5pm closing time coupled with high demand meant longer wait times and a big no to after-work sessions; luckily that’s all been fixed now (well except for Mondays) because the charming coffeehouse-inspired restaurant is now operating with extended hours, opening until late from Tuesday to Sunday.
That means more time for more people to soak up the ambiance of the unique vintage-inspired venue, which plans on rolling out various education and community building events in the near future, in addition to their current fortnightly Coffee Tasting Masters, which is run by the experts manning The Barista’s Bar.
“We build The Grounds of the City to serve our guests from dawn right through until late in the night – it was always the way envisioned building a community in the heart of the city where people could slow down amid the city rush and reconnect”, explained Co-Founder and Creative Director Ramzey Choker.
Throughout the day, guests will have access to The Grounds of the City’s diverse a-la-carte menu and daily specials along with the wide selection of wines, beers, cocktails and coffee, from dawn all the way up until the evening.
