The Peninsula Picnic announces 2017 music, wine and food program (VIC)

A huge lineup of Australian talent is set to score the pristine surrounds of the Morning Racecourse as The Peninsula Picnic presented by Infiniti returns this April. Melbourne locals and visitors will be able to head along to the boutique music, food and wine festival on Saturday 1st April as the fail-safe life philosophy of “vino and chill” inspires a very exciting program that includes eight of the region’s best restaurants and five wineries, all carefully selected to pair with the melodic live tunes from the likes of The Cat Empire, Jebediah frontman Bob Evans and All Our Exes Live in Texas plus more.

Picnic rugs at the ready, guests will have access to a massive menu curated for the one-day festival, put together by the likes of Max’s at Red Hill, Merricks General Wine Store, Alatonero, Montalto, Green Olive, D.O.C Mornington, and Flinders Hotel. All these reliable venues will be on-hand to help fill picnic baskets and glasses.

Adam D’Sylva (Coda; Tonka) will also be running cooking demonstrations in partnership with local producers and providores as well as tastings from the Peninsula Pantry farmers market to truly highlight the best of Victoria’s produce.

Tickets to the festival are set at $77 for adults (pre-sale $70) and children aged 5-17 have that price reduced to $19. Children under 5 get in for free.
