Tim Ho Wan will open a store at Sydney’s Town Hall Station

After a successful flagship store in Chatswood and a recent opening in Burwood, one of the world’s most famous Dim Sum restaurants Tim Ho Wan will open in one of the most central locations in all of Sydney, Town Hall Station.

For awhile now, the entrance to Town Hall station opposite Event Cinema and next to Star Bar has been under construction, but now a big, eye-catching sign explains one of the major redevelopments, carrying Tim Ho Wan’s instantly recognisable logo. The site in which the restaurant will open is the old Pavilion Hotel, which was a hot spot for backpackers before it was permanently shut down.

As the signage indicates, the restaurant will be opening “early 2016” and will likely fill the street with the same type of unbelievable queue that characterised the Chatswood store when it first opened.

This will be the major Tim Ho Wan opening in Sydney CBD, with the other one, a smaller takeaway-focused outlet, planned for Pitt Street later this month.
