UberEATS to roll out McDonald’s home delivery across Australia this week

As of this Friday the fast food delivery game will see a big competitor enter the ring. Following the announcement that KFC will now deliver via Foodora it seems that McDonald’s is also about to make use of another mobile-first delivery app: UberEATS.

With Uber’s food delivery service in it’s corner the fast food giant plans to expand McDelivery out of it’s clandestine operations in Melbourne – which have been up and running for a few weeks now – and up across Australia. Initially, the service is going to be available from more than 80 Maccas restaurant nationwide.

Maccas will now be doing the Maccas runs for you, though this – at least initially – only applies within a 10-minute delivery zone to each of the participating locations. In Sydney alone this includes those nearby Maccas restaurants in Waterloo, Coogee Beach, Circular Quay, Bondi Junction, North Ryde, Brookvale, Stanmore (yeah, you won’t have to deal with the constant dickheads in the parking lot anymore), Haberfield, and more.

If you’re lucky enough to live in any of the delivery zones then that means you have access to the full McDonald’s menu for delivery, and yes, that includes all-day breakfast.

In addition to the participating restaurants now appearing on UberEATS across Australia, people can also order from the existing McDelivery website.
