Following the success of the past three years, Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel has again partnered with Brand Orange to celebrate Aussie Wine Month. The Taste Orange Food & Wine Festival kicks off May 7th and goes for the entire month, with punters invited to indulge in an array of palate pleasing produce and mouth-watering wines from one of Australia’s most iconic food and wine regions, Orange.
A number of wineries from around Orange will be involved in the festival, and Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel will offer mouth-watering dishes from multiple food stalls in the nearby Robertson Park. Visitors will have the chance to sample and purchase their favourite Orange wines direct from the suppliers.
The participating wineries include Rowlee Wines, Philip Shaw Wines, Ross Hill Wines, Tamburlaine Wines, Angullong Wines, Stockmans Ridge Wines, Heifer Station Wines, Slow Wine Co, Logan Wines, Gilbert Family Wines, Small Acres Cyder/Badlands Brewery, Highland Heritage and Cargo Road Wines.
Children’s entertainment will be well taken care of with the addition of a petting farm, venue face-painter and many more activities on the day.
The month also features a series of Orange wine masterclasses at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, on Thursday 11th, Thursday 18th and Thursday 26th of May. Each event will be led by the resident sommelier, taking guests through the finest wines from the Orange region without the 260 kilometre drive. A limited number of tickets can be purchased from the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel website for $45 per person.
Visitors can attend the Taste Orange Food & Wine Festival from 11am – 5pm. There is free entry to the festival and pre-packaged tasting tickets are available online now, $40 per person offers ten tasting tokens at $4 each plus a free branded glass to use throughout the festival or $5 if you chose to purchase on the day.
A special accommodation package will be offered at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, starting from $209 per night, which includes one night stay in Watsons King Room plus a welcome bottle of wine from the Orange Region in the room.
