West End Whisky bar Cobbler launches a Die Hard themed cocktail menu (Brisbane)

Brisbane West End cocktail and Whisky bar, Cobbler, has launched their newest themed cocktail menu as Autumn continues to blow through the city, paying homage to Bruce Willis and the Nakatomi Plaza seen in 1988 classic Die Hard with their playfully named cocktails such as the John McClane (Talisker 10, delord fine armagnac, peppermint tea, rosemary syrup, lavender bitters, lemon twist), the Hans Gruber (Monkey Shoulder Whisky, crème de Noyaux, cinnamon and caraway, red gum honey, orange bitters) and Yippee Kiyay Motherfucker (Appleton VX Rum, lemon juice, pineapple, rose and jasmine orgeat, orange blossom water), among others.

The new menu features the inclusion and infusion of fresh seasonal ingredients, a popular Kombucha, a fermented, lightly effervescent sweetened black or green tea drink, and a number of ‘corpse revivers,’ and ‘coolers’. The classic style revivers from the 1900s are designed to revitalise and cure the body, while the tall coolers are designed to keep that summer flavour alive. These special additions complement the 400+ strong whisky list on Cobbler’s regular menu.

Cobbler is open 7 days a week, is BYO Food and holds monthly whisky tastings featuring rare and fine whiskies. The bar has recently become one of two Ardbeg embassies in Brisbane, and the month of May will see a huge activation for Ardbeg Whisky at Cobbler.
