ACMI and Golden Age Cinema to exclusively screen Kelly Reichardt’s Certain Women

Director Kelly Reichardt‘s (Meek’s Cutoff) award-winning latest release Certain Women, starring Michelle Williams, Laura Dern and Kristen Stewart, will be exclusively screening at selected venues later this month.

ACMI will also be screening a limited season of Reichardt’s previous works, including Meek’s Cutoff,  Wendy and Lucy and Old Joy, to be screened on 35mm film.

ACMI Senior Film Programmer Kristy Matheson states “the exclusive limited release of Certain Women continues ACMI’s ongoing cinematic survey of the work of exceptional female creative talents, their unique collaborations and influences.”

Certain Women, recipient of Best Film at the 2016 London Film Festival, is based on short stories from Maile Meloy’s collection, Both Ways Is the Only Way I Want It, following three women in small-town Montana and how certain events draw their lives together.

The ACMI screenings will begin on Friday April 21st, with Sydney’s Golden Age will screening Certain Women from Thursday April 27th for a strictly limited season.
