Alienware is partnering with Sydney-based gaming café, City Hunter, to launch Alienware Live AU.
Alienware AU will showcase the latest innovations and products from Alienware and will provide an avenue to engage with the community. Designed to celebrate Alienware’s 20-year history, the event will be hosted by Sydney-based gaming café City Hunter.
Alienware Live AU will feature 28 high-end PC’s, two of which will bededicated to running a virtual reality experience. The PC portion will showcase Alienware’s entire range of Area 51, Aurora, Alpha, and gaming laptop lines. The VR devices on show are the Oculus Rift, which will be powered by an Alienware Alpha and Graphics Amplifier, and the HTC Vive, which will be running Alienware’s new VR-ready Aurora desktop PC. Both of the VR experiences will be running on a Dell 43-inch 4K monitor.
Alienware believes that providing the community with access to high-end PCs and VR makesthese technologies more accessible to a wider audience. Ben Jackson, General Manager of Consumer and Small Business stated that “The partnership with City Hunter continues our ethos of bringing high-end PC gaming experiences to our fans.” City Hunter Co-Founder Jun Zhong believes that “Alienware Live AU will be the perfect place for our community to come and experience the latest gaming hardware in a first-class venue.”
To celebrate the launch of Alienware Live AU, Alienware is offering fans the chance to win an Alienware 15, airfares and accommodation to Sydney for two and tickets to the launch of Alienware Live AU. There will also be multiple double tickets up for grabs to the launch party, but these will not include airfares and accommodation. To enter, fans must tweet at @AlienwareOZ with the hashtag #PushYourLimit, and share how they push their limits. The competition details will be available on the @AlienwareOZ twitter page and Alienware Arena.
The Alienware Live AU launch will commence at City Hunter café on August 18.
