Annabelle Wallis joins Mummy reboot

Annabel Wallis, known for her work in Peaky Blinders and horror flick Annabelle, is set to play an Archaeologist in Universal’s upcoming reboot of The Mummy.

She joins Sofia Boutella and Tom Cruise with Alex Kurtzman set to direct.

Castings aside, little is known about the film – though it is expected to tie into Universal’s shared universe of monster movies and be tonally-different to the previous Brendan Fraser films.

The Mummy will arrive on June 9, 2017.
