Presto announced yesterday, that NBC’s period crime drama Aquarius will return to the online streaming service in a special triple episode premiere event.
Episodes one to three of the 1960s drama will stream express from the U.S on Friday June 17. Following the three-episode premiere, episodes will continue to steam week-by-week, direct from the U.S every Friday.
The model follows NBC’s own experimental premiere event, with the network screening a two-hour commercial-free premiere of the series.
Season two of Aquarius sees David Duchovny (The X Files, Californication) return as the seasoned homicide detective Sam Hodiak whose investigations collide with the activities of real-life cult leader Charles Manson. Set in 1968 – one year before the most notorious killings of a generation – Hodiak must delve deeper into a web of murder and corruption as he juggles Manson, an Internal Affairs investigation and the looming certainty of future tragedy.
Aquarius also stars home-grown talent Claire Holt (The Vampire Diaries) and Game of Thrones star Gethin Anthony.
Aquarius season one is streaming now on Presto.
