Aussie adventure documentary Motorkite Dreaming will begin screening in selected cinemas from August, touring South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
Motorkite Dreaming follows voyager Daryl Clarke as he attempts to fly a motorkite (basically a lawnmower with a hand-glider attached) across 400km of outback Australia, passing through 20 Aboriginal nations.
The film will also star Carroll Karpany (Wrong Side of the Road) as the group’s indigenous guide, co-pilot Aidan Glasby and ground crew Elsie Clarke and Lexi Keneally, while Charlie Hill-Smith takes the director’s seat.
The film explores the side of the country most of us rarely know, traveling through indigenous cultures over tens of thousands years old and flying above landmarks like The Great Sandy Desert and Lake Eyre.
Audiences attending screenings will be able to meet the filmmaker and adventurers at the Adelaide premiere as well as selected screenings.
The national release is August 11th, and full screening information can be found at http://motorkitedreaming.com/screenings/
