Deadpool has been on top for four weeks now, earning another AU$2.5 million. In the States the foul mouthed X-Man also became only the third R rated movie to ever cross the US$300 million mark.
I did make a glaring omission in my report last week. I was lead to believe that Maggie Smith’s The Lady in the Van was being released exclusively on DVD & Blu-Ray which prompted me to neglect its mention in the upcoming releases. The British comedy debuted at second spot nonetheless, earning a very cool AU$2 million.
Subsequently, How to be Single dropped to third spot and was the only film last week to earn above AU$1 million.
Triple 9 debuted at seventh spot earning a meager AU$454k while the rest of the box office has gone relatively unchanged.
