Despite The Legend of Tarzan barrelling into cinemas with a tonne of marketing, Finding Dory still managed to come out on top in this weeks box office figures.
Dory racked up another AU$5 million but the real story is that in the U.S, it became the highest grossing domestic release of 2016, currently sitting on US$423 million.
Tarzan was only just beaten, earning AU$4.2 million. After only two weeks in theatres in The States, it has earned $81.8 million domestically.
The BFG, not to be outdone raked in another AU$3.3 million, keeping Central Intelligence at fourth spot with just over $3 million.
Mike and Dave Need Wedding Invites jumped in unexpectedly at fifth spot this week, making a very cool AU$2.4 million.
