Whilst not opening to as much as last week’s no. 1 film, War For The Planet Of The Apes, the third in the franchise, managed to wipe out last week’s top flick in only its 2nd week in cinemas. War For The Planet Of The Apes opened on 441 screens nationally, and, not far behind, in its second week, Dunkirk remains on 427 screens.

Last week’s no. 2, Baby Driver, is now this week’s no. 3, earning $1.35m. In three weeks, it has made over $10m and remains on 328 screens nationally.
Surprisingly (or maybe not surprisingly), in 4th place this week was Andre Rieu’s 2017 Maastricht Concert. It earned $1.11m in its debut week, and the film itself included an interview with Australia’s very own Richard Wilkins. It knocked Despicable Me 3 out of 4th place, where it now sits at no. 6.
Another drop on the box office ladder came from Spider-Man: Homecoming. Last week, this title was at no. 3, and this week, earning $1.05m, it sits at no. 5. Since it debuted in cinemas 4 weeks ago, it has earned nearly $24m.
This weekend sees the debut of action flick Atomic Blonde starring Charlize Theron.
