Author Neil Gaiman announces second season of American Gods via Twitter

Amazon Prime Original series American Gods will be returning in 2019 for a highly anticipated second season, as revealed via video on author Neil Gaiman’s personal twitter account.

The video was shot on set at The House on the Rock and includes shout outs from from Gaiman himself, protagonist Shadow Moon played by Ricky Whittle (The 100) and cast member Yetide Badaki (Aquarius), who will be returning to her role as Bilquis. Check out the video down below:

Based on the best-selling book of the same, American Gods sees ex-con Shadow Moon alongside Mr. Wednesday played by Ian McShane (Deadwood) and Shadow’s Wife, Laura Moon, played by Emily Browning (Sucker Punch). Season two will also see the return of Mad Sweeney played by Pablo Schreiber (13 Hours), Tech Boy played by Bruce Langley  and Kristin Chenoweth (Descendants) as Easter, in addition to some new unannounced characters.
