No stranger to the action genre already due to her work in No Time To Die, The Gray Man, and Ghosted, Ana de Armas looks to take on her biggest, most brutal challenge yet with the forthcoming release of Ballerina; officially titled From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, so as to remind us what universe we are entering here.
Taking place during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Ballerina follows Eve Macarro (de Armas) who is beginning her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma, and, by all accounts, she certainly looks to be taking many a violent cue from one Mr. Wick.
Speaking of Wick, Keanu Reeves (reuniting with de Armas some 10 years on from their thrillers Knock Knock and Exposed) will be making an appearance as the legendary hitman, as will several other John Wick series regulars, including the late Lance Riddick, Anjelica Huston and Ian McShane. Norman Reedus, Gabriel Byrne and Catalina Sandino Moreno round out the ensemble as fresh faces to the fray.
Franchise director Chad Stahelski, Basil Inwanyk, Erica Lee, Brady Fujikawa, and Chelsea Fujikawa serve as producers, with Underworld director Len Weisman taking the helm.
From the World of John Wick: Ballerina is scheduled to be released in Australian theatres on June 6th, 2025.
