Bill Murray surfaces as a washed-up music producer in the Rock The Kasbah trailer.

You had us at Bill Murray. But the synopsis for the film makes it all the better: “A washed-up music producer finds one last shot at redemption with a golden-voiced young girl in Afghanistan.” Not bad, eh? And with Kate Hudson amongst the cast, there’s a bit of a bizarro Almost Famous vibe about it all. The trailer, which was released recently, will give you a bit more of an idea about what you can expect from the upcoming film, due out on 5th November.

Directed by veteran filmmaker Barry Levinson (Rain Man, Wag The Dog – too many others to mention), Rock The Kasbah also stars Bruce Willis, Danny McBride, Shia Labeouf and Zooey Deschanel. Sign us up, we’ll be first in line for this one. Did we mention the film stars Bill Fucking Murray?
