WWE Legend Rey Mysterio has had a busy year – from starring in WWE’s Royal Rumble and Greatest Royal Rumble earlier in the year to featuring in New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Dominion 6.9.
Mysterio’s stellar year continues with the announcement that he’ll be joining the upcoming WWE 2K19 as one of two playable pre-order characters.
This marks Mysterio’s first appearance in the franchise in four years, last appearing as part of the WWE 2K15 roster. His brand new character model will be based on his surprise appearance in this year’s Royal Rumble.
One other pre-order character is set to be announced in the coming weeks, and will be available as bonus content for all who pre-order the game. Early Access players will receive this content four days earlier, on October 5th.
WWE 2K19 will be available in two premium packages – the Deluxe and Collector’s Editions, both of which contain early access codes. The Deluxe Edition will come packaged with the WWE 2K19 season pass, exclusive packaging, pre-order characters and more digital content to be announced soon.
The Collector’s Edition will contain the similar content to the Deluxe Edition, with the added bonuses of exclusive and rare collectibles, premium packaging and limited edition WWE SuperCard content.
