A behind-the-scenes feature has been released to boost up anticipation for the upcoming Top Five, Chris Rocks’ latest film which has been receiving some excellent reviews from the U.S so far. While Australia is yet to see a cinematic release, we are given more insight into how Rock has assembled such a massive, talented cast of some of the world’s greatest comedians to make for a comedy supergroup.

Top Five was written and directed by Chris Rock, who also portrays the lead alongside co-stars Rosario Dawson, Gabrielle Union, Cedric The Entertainer, J.B. Smoove, Tracy Morgan, Kevin Hart, Anders Holm, Jay Pharoah, Michael Che, Sherri Shepherd, and Leslie Jones. Questlove of The Roots served as Executive Music Producer while Shawn “Jay Z” Carter and Kanye West are co-producers alongside the film’s lead producers Scott Rudin and Eli Bush.

The film tells the story of a NYC comedian-turned-actor named Andre Allen and his unexpected romance with a journalist (Dawson) which forces him to confront the comedy career – and the past – that he has left behind.

Top Five hits Australian cinemas on 5th March 2015
