We’ve enjoyed a barrage of Sherlock Holmes related material in recent years, from the brilliant BBC series Sherlock to the two Guy Richie films and the US version in Elementary. And now there’s a new film to add to the modern repertoire of the classic detective series.

Coming out later this year (the Australian release date has yet to be set), Mr. Holmes stars Sir Ian McKellen (aka Gandalf / Magneto etc.), as an aged version of the iconic role (93 years old no less), in a film based on Mitch Cullin’s 2005 novel A Slight Trick of the Mind.

Just this week it had its premiere at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival, and now the rest of us are getting our first taste of the film in this clip:
