Entertainment One announces its 2015 lineup for Cannes Film Festival

The 68th Cannes Film Festival is fast approaching and Entertainment One is on board, screening 3 films at the prestigious event.

First up is a moving and deeply personal journey into the life and times of late singer Amy Winehouse entitled Amy. The team behind Senna have ascertained interviews with close friends and  family and has also included a slew of never before seen footage.

Woody Allen’s romantic Comedy Irrational Man is their second offering. Starring Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix, Irrational Man follows a philosophy professor (Phoenix) who faces an existential crisis when he falls in love with one of his students (Stone).

Rounding out the trio is Gus Van Saint’s Sea of Trees, which will be screening in competition. Sea of Trees sees Matthew McConaughey as Arthur Brennan, a man with no direction and purpose. Upon travelling to the ‘Sea of Trees’, he meets with a man (Ken Watanabe) who takes him on a journey of reflection and helps Arthur find meaning. Sea of Trees also stars Naomi Watts.

Amy will release in Australian Cinemas on July 2, 2015.
