If you’re not too sure what you’re going to do once Summer comes around, then your best bet is to attend this year’s national Moonlight Cinema program.
For those that love film and want to do something different outside of traditional cinema, this outdoor event caters to all people who want to soak up the experience of the latest blockbusters and more. With nearly 20 advanced screenings and 19 new releases, Moonlight Cinema are expecting a sell out of their tickets in the first two months of the season. With the program starting in Dec/Jan, it’s best to secure tickets now incase you miss out.

Group Director of Marketing, Ian Sutherland says, “We’re very proud of this program and excited to be screening so many big summer blockbusters before their general release dates. Moonlight is a quintessential Australian summer experience where you can bring together a bunch of mates, pack a picnic and recline on bean beds to enjoy the best films of the year.”
With the event being pet-friendly in the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, there will be a special program titled Doggie Nights. In here, you’ll have the opportunity to bring along your furry dog friend on the night while also enjoying a special screening of The Secret Life of Pets on Friday 9th of December. There will also be pet pampering stations, doggie treat samples and special giveaways available throughout the night.
Moonlight Cinema is a BYO-friendly event* and if you’ve forgotten to bring along your picnic blanket and drinks, you can enjoy the food available from the Moonlight food truck. Some of the movie munchies will include mac n’ cheese balls, crispy salt and pepper squid, three types of sliders and tasty Spanish churros.
Gates open an hour and a half before the film starts so be sure to bring along your mates and enjoy some screen time under the stars!
